The goal of this session is to address the following questions:
  • What is Census 2020?
  • Why the Census?
  • What is at stake if not everyone is counted?
  • How does the current political environment affect the counting, especially the “hard to count” population?
  • Who are included in the “hard to count” population?
  • What is the planning and implementation strategy at the state,  and Contra Costa and Almeda County levels to make sure everyone is counted?
  • How is the operation funded?
  • What opportunities are there for volunteers to help?
  • Are there paid staff whose job is to organize and coordinate the volunteers?
